MULTIPLE WOODWINDS

Classical. contemporary. broadway.

Zach Larimer is a performer, teacher, and woodwind specialist based in New York City. As a woodwind doubler he plays over two dozen instruments professionally including western flutes, double reeds, single reeds, and world flutes.

Zach frequently performs in orchestras, chamber ensembles, jazz bands, and pit orchestras for musical theatre. Recent highlights include the world premiere of “Qing Cheng/Dark City” for the New York Musical Theatre Festival and the premiere of “Life of the Party” by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde: The Musical).

He is a strong proponent of contemporary music and actively seeks to create new sounds and redefine what it means to be a woodwind doubler. He has premiered new works in the Dynamic Music Festival, Pulsing & Shaking Festival, Call and Response Series, as well as several solo recitals.

Zach received his Bachelor’s of Music from New York University where he double majored in oboe performance and journalism.
